Even though, AVEGA is a non-profit making organization, but it has been eagerly to undergo an indisputable development as association in general and for beneficiaries in particular. Different chairpersons and executives have been substituted to set and implement different goals that pushed the association status as well as that of its members.

Currently, Valerie MUKABAYIRE chairs the board of directors, with Etienne KALISA as Executive Secretary. Together, they work closely to broaden the capacity of the organisation and focus its programmes towards the needs of its members. Sustainable development is at the forefront of the organisation as it continues to seek opportunities for strengthening its future activities. Project management is closely intertwined with Finance & Accounting, led by Chief Finance Officer Cecile MUKARUSIMBI.
