Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights

The ASRHR implies wide range of health services and accesses right to different non- familiar health services including right to the abortion of the unwanted pregnancy, family planning for unmarried young people, etc.

The AVEGA’s health clinics arrange and take into action the adolescent health services from attentiveness of secondary sexual characteristics; cervical cancer vaccination; prevention, diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmitted infections including HIV; family planning and infertility prevention and management.

These services aim at preventing poor ASRH, such as dying from avoidable cervical cancer, sexual violence, complications caused by STIs, unintended pregnancies, unsafe abortions and infertility resulted from poor abortion system that damaged or permanently removed  the basic parts for pregnancy.

Thus, AVEGA’s health facilities work closely with the youth connect institutions including youth friendly centers, Yego centers, youth corners, primary and secondary schools to expose the truth and needs of rights  for ASRH of the young people.
