Her Excellency the Ambassador of Israel in Rwanda emphasized the Embassy’s commitment to empowering women and fostering unity and resilience in Rwanda:
“In my previous visit to AVEGA Clinic, I found that there was need for an ultrasound machine to facilitate diagnostics for members and other women supported by AVEGA. I also learnt of the importance of medical outreach activities organized by AVEGA and other partners and so the Israeli government chose to provide this advanced equipment to support this organization’s daily work. We believe this donation will contribute to building resilience, strengthen social cohesion, and enhance AVEGA’s efforts to foster unity, peace, and the well-being of Rwandan citizens.”
Honorable Mukarugema Alphonsine, AVEGA’s representative, expressed deep gratitude for the gesture, underscoring the Embassy’s longstanding support:
“The partnership with the Embassy of Israel began during the COVID-19 pandemic, and since then, they have continuously supported us. From comforting us during the commemoration period to supporting cooperatives of widows, the Embassy’s contributions have had a significant impact on our work. These new ultrasound machines will help us extend quality care to women who need it the most.”
Dr. Uwera Kanyamanza Claudine from the Ministry of National Unity & Civic Engagement (MINUBUMWE) thanked Her Excellency the Ambassador, for supporting AVEGA initiatives through such a generous donation. She commended AVEGA’s dedication to widows and the community and encouraged them to continue enhancing their services to benefit both survivors and the broader society.
