Our Focuses

Our Focuses

Promoting Social Healing, Social Cohesion and community resilience project

Our Peacebuilding Sub-Program is dedicated to fostering unity, social cohesion, and restoring hope within the post-genocide Rwandan community. We focus on preserving the memory of the Genocide against the Tutsi, ensuring that the past is remembered to prevent future atrocities. By empowering both our members and the general population, we promote peaceful conflict resolution, the rebuilding of trust, and collective healing from trauma.

We are committed to creating safe, inclusive spaces that encourage meaningful dialogue among diverse groups. These spaces allow communities to share experiences, foster understanding, and support one another on their paths to healing. Central to our efforts is the collection of testimonies from our members, especially genocide widows, whose voices provide powerful narratives of resilience and recovery.

Our program also organizes commemoration events that honor the memory of the Tutsi who were killed in 1994 while reinforcing the importance of unity and tolerance in preventing the recurrence of violence. By promoting social cohesion and empowering communities to work together, we lay the groundwork for sustainable peace, ensuring that the lessons of the past inspire a more inclusive and peaceful future.

We also conduct research on the Genocide against the Tutsi and facilitate access to this information for educational institutions.
