Ecobank Rwanda Launch Medical Care Initiative for Genocide Widows

Kigali, Rwanda – [25 march]  at AVEGA Agahozo headquarters, a significant milestone in healthcare support was achieved as AVEGA Agahozo, in partnership with Ecobank Rwanda, launched a medical care program benefiting over 1,000 members. This initiative, organized in honor of Women’s Month, aims to enhance the well-being of Genocide widows by providing essential medical services, including ophthalmology, dental care, and treatment for non-communicable diseases (NCDs).

The program underscores the ongoing commitment to supporting the resilience of Genocide widows, ensuring they receive the healthcare they deserve. AVEGA Agahozo expressed gratitude for Ecobank Rwanda’s unwavering support in making this initiative a reality.

The event marks yet another step in fostering sustainable support systems for widows of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, reinforcing the importance of accessible medical care in improving their quality of life.
