In the wake of unimaginable tragedy, AVEGA-Agahozo emerged in 1995 as a women-led organization to restore hope and healing to widows, orphans, and vulnerable groups affected by the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. Over the years, we’ve grown into a nationwide network, supporting over 25,000 widows, 71,000 dependents, and touching the lives of more than 350,000 beneficiaries across Rwanda.
